First DMV Tour
The final fixture of the Orange Army’s first DMV pre-season tour saw them face Athletic United. It was a match exhibited as one of promise; street footies’ previous 2-3 victory came at the hands of Athletic Unites league mates District Reign.
Team Attire
The hots walked out in an entirely white kits while street footie in their traditional orange attire. Athletic United began the game full of excitement to play the game; on the other hand, the visitors displayed a less-than-efforted start.
Goals in Minutes
It took Athletic United twenty-five minutes to break the street footie blockade, only for the orange army to reply within a minute. The home team worked the ball to their forward, placing it in the bottom right corner.
A quick shift of momentum saw Flavio one on one with the home sides right back; he then pushed the ball beyond him before playing a sublime pass across the goal to connect with a traveling Yassin, who showed no sign of youth with a finish that landed in the roof of the net.

Lights Out
Unfotunently a match on the rise for the spectator fell short of a glamorous end. The Montgomery County Parks displayed its notorious field rental standards just as the celebrations presided. The floodlights cut out and rendered the fixture unplayable for the night.
Rematch on the Cards
A rematch is on the cards when street footie faces Athletic United on September 20, 2022.
