street footie Football Club will play in the DCPL Men’s Winter D2 in the winter off-season. Technical Director Barak Shechter says, “Joining the DCPL competition in the winter will keep fitness and form levels high as we set our sights on building for the next Maryland Super Soccer League D2 season.”
The DCPL Winter Men’s D2 is set to kick off on December 11, 2022.
Pre-season, Off-season
street footie FC is set to begin pre-season prior to the start of the winter season. As of now, the players are set to check in for pre-season on November 29, 2022.
Traveling from Maryland to Washington, DC, street footie FC will take a maximum squad size of 18 players.
Competition Format
The winter league format is as follows:
- 6 + playoffs 35-min halves (70-min) games
- 11 v 11 full-field
- Matches will be held at:
- Cardozo High School
- McKinley Tech
- Roosevelt
What is DC Premier League?
The DC Premier League is an elite men’s amateur league that operates in Washington, DC. The current DCPL Men’s D1 champions are District of Columbia Football Club (DCFC).
DCPL is run by District Sports, a non-profit organization that promotes soccer and grants more than $75,000 annually to DC youth.
DCPL is affiliated with MSSA and USASA and US Soccer.
