Following a disappointing loss to Maryland Old Boys last week, street footie is back in action this Friday for their fifth game in the Howard County Winter league. The orange army will aim to improve their record when they travel to Troy Park to face Naranjota FC. Team Manager Nelson said his team’s current form differs from what he envisioned this season. However, they will still compete in every game to showcase the street footie way.

RENEWED THREAT
After a hard-fought game last week, street footies forwards will have to step up their game if the orange army is to claim all three points this Friday. The team’s forwards will have to step up their game to be fit and firing on all cylinders for a critical stage of street footies season.
Technical director, Barak Shechter, emphasized the importance of this game with this comment, “We need to be composed and not take this game lightly. This game is a must-win. Respect them but also play with confidence and know that we are better. Our goal for this game is three points and, more importantly, keep a clean sheet.”
ACTIVELY RECRUITING
No amateur club was more active in the off-season window than street footie, signing over six players to offset the departures of Moedinho, Enass, the Avelar twins, and co, scorers of a combined 6 Maryland Super Soccer League goals last term. Team manager Nelson said if these signings work, bettering their best-ever top-flight finish of seventh in 2022 remains possible, so they will hope Friday’s defeat to Maryland Old Boys isn’t a sign of things to come. He added that street footie is actively holding tryouts and invites all players to come and witness what the orange army is building.
