The street footie camp was fleeting with joy at the announcement of this rematch. Untouchable Lion’s coach challenged the boys in orange by coining the phrase “who runs the DMV.” to describe what is to be a must-watch game.Â
The orange army is going into this game full of confidence. In the previous match, street footie was first to break the deadlock with a quick counter from Melvin Cabrera. However, the opposition was relentless in their attacks and pulled a comeback in a 3-2 win. This time, the orange army will go into this game with significant experience to weather anything opposition thrown at them. A win in this rematch will go a long way in preparing the lads for their opening game against VA United in the Rowland Cup.

Club manager, Nelson Mwanza, announced the return of two familiar faces, Melvin Cabrera and Juan Martinez. He later emphasized the return of Melvin and Juan with this comment, “We looked to experience to help us have a fighting chance in upcoming competitions. These boys have been with us in the past, so we know what they are capable of.”
Player to watch: Melvin Cabrera
Cabrera scored two goals in the first meeting between these sides and later went on to have a successful season in the MDSL with street footie. He left street footie FC in the Spring of 2022 for Christos FC, where he won the MSSL D1 Championship. Previously with street footie FC, Cabrera scored five league goals and assisted two more in just five appearances. street footie FC will look to use his skill and experience in this game.
