It was a record previously held by Flávio Hastenreter (March 26, 2023 vs. Frederick Skyline). Obispos’s goal is also the fastest on record in UPSL Northeast thus far this season.

Riding high on confidence and dictating play, Flávio Hastenreter doubled street footie’s lead in the 20th minute with a brilliant strike, leaving the Frederick Kings’ defense stunned. With street footie in the driver’s seat, the day would take a deem twist. Frederick Kings afforded a lifeline in the 27th minute with the scoreline reading 2-1 in favor of street footie at the break.

An Exciting Season Ahead

The drama didn’t end there. A goal in the 82nd minute left street footie players and fans alike in disbelief, sealed the deal for Frederick Kings, culminating in a final score of 4-2.

Unpredictable Match

Technical Director Barak Shechter shared a few words after the match: “It’s never easy to lose, especially after taking such a commanding lead early on. The game of soccer can be unpredictable, and today was a testament to that. We started strong, played our style, but eventually lost three points.”

“This game will surely be a bitter pill to swallow, but we must learn, regroup, and ensure we close out games in the future.”
