🎉 2024 MSSA Cup Season Celebrates a Century of Soccer Excellence
The 2024 Cup Season stamps a remarkable milestone, for the Maryland State Soccer Association (MSSA), 100 years of cherished soccer tradition. This season promises to be extraordinary with our lineup of prestigious cups and the introduction of the special Maryland-District-Virginia Cup in celebration of our centennial.
🏆 Cup Lineup:
Rowland Cup: Maryland’s oldest and open championship, starting since 1914. The winner advances to the USASA Region I qualifiers for the Werner Fricker Cup.
Stewart Cup: Since 1932, this has been Maryland’s amateur championship. The winner moves on to the USASA Region I qualifiers for the US Amateur Cup.
Morton Cup: In honor of Darwin “Lefty” Morton, this cup is for teams not in the Rowland or Stewart Cups. It focuses on state-level competition.
Over-30, Over-40 & Over-50 Cups: These age-specific championships see winners advancing to the USASA Region I qualifiers.
Maryland-District-Virginia Cup: A new addition for our centennial, inviting top teams from the region for an exclusive contest.
