Arlington FC vs. street footie Match Preview

There is nothing more preseason than a Sunday night scrimmage on foreign grounds. This game being the first-ever meeting between these sides, the Orange Army must establish dominance from the blow of the whistle. A hard week of training has brought the team even more together to face another monumental challenge.

Traveling and playing a team on their home turf will take work. Playing with several players out of their natural position is even more challenging, but we must persevere to succeed. From the first man on the matchday squad to those who will not suit up, we must continue to work hard for each other, and the wins will come.

As preseason team activities continued, there was pure joy among returning and newly acquired players. The excitement within the camp is as infectious as the talent within, and the lads are ready and eager to play their hearts out. 

In his pre-match team meeting, team manager Nelson Mwanza said, “Both technically and in terms of fitness. We’ll need to be alert and compact. We’ll need to play well, trying to dominate the game and cause them problems. We come to play football, and play we will.
